გამარჯობა 👋

My research lies in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computational Linguistics (CL). In my research, I usually do care about formal semantics and linguistic structure when developing computational models for processing languages. My research mainly focuses on computational semantics, and my favorite topic is reasoning with natural language, in a more narrow sense also known as Natural Language Inference (NLI). Arguably it represents the holy grail of computational semantics.
To tackle the reasoning problem, I have developed LangPro (a tableau-based theorem prover designed for natural language!) which proves Natural Language Inference problems like logic theorems.

Expressing the meaning of wide-coverage texts in formal semantics is a notoriously challenging problem. This problem lies at the heart of the Parallel Meaning Bank (PMB) project, where with my co-researchers I have worked on all aspects of annotation, compositional semantics, and meaning representation.
